Gossip Interrupted: From Tea to Trouble

A glitchy maze, pixel walls, and the menacing Virus—can I survive long enough to escape this arcade nightmare?

Gossip Interrupted: From Tea to Trouble

I was minding my own business, scrolling on my phone like any self-respecting gossip queen would, catching up on the latest tea from our universe. Right away, I noticed two curious things. First, there are way too many prank-happy admins out there spreading fake news just to mess with people, like that rumor about a blue voxel chicken. Please... That doesn’t even exist!

Second, Jenny had sent me yet another video of a new arcade dance. And… fine, I’ll admit it: it actually made me want to learn the moves. I may have watched it on repeat a little too long, because the next thing I knew… something had changed.

Signs Something’s Off

Was Maxine in the middle of another one of her sneeze attacks? I glanced to the side and... uh, hello? Three hearts were floating around me. Three. Now, I don’t know much about arcade games (my specialty is gossip, not joysticks), but I was pretty sure this wasn’t a love confession… and it definitely wasn’t a good sign for me.

I peeked out the window and, surprisingly, everything still looked “normal”… well, normal by the recent Maxine-sneeze standards. But the moment I opened the door and stepped outside…

No streets, no houses, no town square: just an eerie maze.

Face-to-Face with the Virus

Everything had turned into towering pixel-block walls textured like dirt and moss, and the sky (or should I say ceiling?) Was a bright neon green, casting an odd glow over the path ahead. The corridors felt tight, and each step echoed like something familiar with the terrain was watching me.  That’s when I turned around, expecting my front door… and instead came face-to-face with him. Huge, menacing, gliding over the ground with terrifying speed: the Virus. Every time it moved, it created new platforms, reshaping the maze however it pleased, summoning pixel clouds of corrupted data that swirled overhead like a digital storm.

Before I could react, one of those fragments brushed past me, and instantly I felt it... my heart counter dropped from three to two. I didn’t need a tutorial to understand that if they all vanished, something bad (really bad) would happen. And I wasn’t planning to stick around to find out what.  I had to find Maxine. If anyone could handle arcade glitches and rogue viruses, it was her. And this time, it wasn’t just a matter of curiosity or hot gossip... it was actual danger.

XOXO,
Gossip Girl (If I don’t make it back, tell Jenny. She was cooking something up for me, and… maybe cancel it.)
